Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of farmer behavior in using organic fertilizer on salak plants in Ibul Village, Manna City District, South Bengkulu Regency. This research used a quantitative descriptive method which was carried out from March to June 2024. The selection of sub-districts and farmer groups used purposive, while sampling of respondent farmers used total sampling. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data as support. Data collected through direct interviews with respondents using questionnaires was then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of data analysis show that the level of farmer behavior in using organic fertilizer on salak plants is categorized as moderate with an average score of 59.17%, meaning that salak farmers in Ibul Village have knowledge, attitudes and skills in using organic fertilizer on salak plants. to increase production output. The lowest farmer behavior variable in using organic fertilizer on salak plants is the knowledge variable, with an average achievement score of 58.70%, this is due to the lack of socialization and counseling carried out by extension workers and community leaders.
