Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of innovation and application of total organic technology based on MA-11 in lowland rice cultivation in Tanjung Beringin Village, Air Nipis District, South Bengkulu Regency and to develop an empowerment design to increase the application of total organic technology based on MA-11 in rice cultivation. rice fields in Tanjung Beringin Village, Air Nipis District, South Bengkulu Regency. This study was carried out from November to July 2024 in Tanjung Beringin Village, Air Nipis District involving 28 respondents, sampling was carried out using a simple random method or simple respondents with Proportional Random Sampling, in Tanjung Beringin Village, Air Nipis District. Data collection techniques used in This study used questionnaires, interviews and observations. The analysis technique for this study uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study of innovation characteristics and the application of total organic technology based on MA-11 in lowland rice cultivation show that the innovation characteristic variable is in the very suitable category with a score percentage reaching 85.15%, the application characteristic variable in the appropriate category has a score of 84.38%. , Based on these results, counseling was carried out on the empowerment design to increase farmer innovation and application of MA-11 technology through increasing farmers' knowledge, attitudes and skills. Analysis of the empowerment results from the implementation of the pre-test and post-test showed that there was an increase in farmer knowledge by 30, 98% of the attitude variable increased by 35.09%, and the skills variable increased by 24.46%.
