Interest of Women Farmers in Instant Ginger Production within the Jati Mandiri Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Keban Jati Village, Ulu Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency

Abstract

This research aims to determine the interest of female farmers in making instant ginger in the Jati Mandiri Women Farmers Group (KWT) Keban Jati Village, Ulu Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency which was carried out from December 2023 to July 2024 by involving 30 respondents who are members of the Jati Mandiri Women Farmers Group (KWT) Keban Jati Village. This study uses a saturated sample where all members of the population are sampled. The data collection technique used in this study used questionnaires, interviews and observations. The analysis technique of this study uses descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis show that the interest of female farmers in making instant ginger in (KWT) Jati Mandiri, Keban Jati Village, Ulu Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency is in the "interested" category with a percentage of 71.61%. Based on the results of the analysis, a socialization and empowerment design was carried out to improve the knowledge and attitudes and skills of female farmers in making instant ginger. The extension material presented was "How to Make Instant Ginger". Analysis of the empowerment results from the implementation of the pre-test and post-test in the Jati Mandiri Women Farmers Group (KWT) of Keban Jati Village showed an increase of: 26.44% in the knowledge aspect, 38% in the attitude aspect, and 52% in the skills aspect.
