Evaluation of the Results of Extension Services on the Jajar Legowo Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Planting System in Tulas Village, Klaten Regency

Abstract

The purpose of this final project was to find out the level of knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers in planting the Legowo jajar system. in the Guyup Rukun farmer group in Tulas Village, Tulas subDistrict, Klaten Regency. This study used a quantitative descriptive. The selection of sub- districts, farmer groups and sample populations was carried out by purposive sampling, sampling of respondents by purposive randem sampling, namely farmers who had participated in training in the planting system of Jajar Legowo. The data used were primary datas and secondary data as supporting data. Data collected through interviews and observations directly with respondents using questionnaires and then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. Theresults of the data analysis showed that the level of knowledge of farmers was categorized as high, with an average achievement score of 70.5%. The level of farmers' attitudes was categorized as low, with an average score of 14.3%. The skilllevel of farmers is categorized as medium with an average achievement of 48.30%, meaning unskilled or 1.95% in the unskilled category. In this research activity, empowerment activities were also carried out, extension methods were used with lectures, discussions and demonstrations of methods for 15 farmers on July 4, 2024The results of counseling showed an increase in knowledge from 63.79% to 86.16% with an increase of 22.37%, while attitudes from 14.33% to 96% increased by 81.67%, and skills from 31.19% to 98.04% increased by 66.85%. Demonstrationplot planting legowo row system in rice cultivation (Oryza sativa. L) could sustainably changed the behavior of farmers.
